$2 Trillion Deficit by 2009

Analysts believe the US annual deficit will rise to $2 trillion by 2009 from taxpayer-funded bailout attempts by the government--that are designed to combat the financial crisis. Analysts now say the $700 billion bank- rescue plan passed by Congress last week may have to be significantly larger. The national debt could easily exceed 70% of GDP.
